According to Dun’s Gazette for New South Wales of March 10, 1930, Richard Outzen took over ownership of Rozelle Pie Supply on 9 September 1929 (registered 25 February 1930) from Kitty C.E. & Theodore Ross.

Rozelle Pie Supply was located at 615 Darling Street, Rozelle in Sydney, Australia.

Richard Outzen’s daughters were also noted pastry cooks. Mrs Eileen Jowett (nee Outzen) was working out of 118 George Street, Redfern and Miss Ann Outzen from 151 Redfern Street, Redfern. (Wise’s New South Wales post office directory 1940).

Dun’s Gazette for New South Wales Vol. 65 No. 19 (May 9, 1941) states that the business at 118 George Street, Redfern is “Sally’s Homemade Cakes & Pastry” and the registered owners are husband and wife George W Jowett & Eileen F Jowett.

Shared family stories tell of Ann marrying timber worker Mark Frank Harrison Ewart and operating a pastry business in the Campsie/Belmore area of Sydney.

As at January 2019, 118 George Street is home to cafe Scout’s Honour and 151 Redfern Street is a medical centre.
